Welcome to the website of New Testament Church of Milwaukee Wisconsin. We are a non-denominational Christian fellowship that has as its primary goals the exaltation of the Lord (worship), the education of all regarding the things of God, the edification of the saints, and the evangelization of the lost.

Who we are:

What We Believe

We believe the church is a divine institution built by God. It is composed of baptized believers who are united together to observe the ordinances, exercise the spiritual, grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and carry out the great commission. Psalm 127:1; Matt. 16:8; John 12:32; Acts 2:47; Mark 16:15.

Our Faith

We confess out faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and by the power of the Holy Spirit we will order our lives according to the Scriptures. Moreover, we will endeavor to set Christian examples at all times and share our faith in Jesus Christ with others. We promise to take advantage of opportunities for spiritual growth. We promise to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry. We promise to encourage one another to love and good works, and in all things to give our Lord Jesus Christ the preeminence.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who will make disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that the world has yet to see what God can do with a church that is totally committed to Him. By God's inexhaustible grace, we plan, as a fellowship of believers, to be that church and fulfill the great commission in the process.

Our Doctrine

We believe that a sound knowledge of biblical doctrine is essential for mature, stable, fruitful Christian living (Eph. 4:13). We do not claim to be perfect in our own views. We believe always in learning and growing (2 Peter 3:18). So we are not blown about by every wind of doctrine. Our aim is a humble and firm grasp of the truth we have seen in the scriptures, with a readiness to learn more and more to the glory of God. We believe in God the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and His redemptive work in man's salvation through, Jesus Christ the Son of God. We believe there is a distinction between local church membership and membership in the Body of Christ. We believe in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ for salvation. We believe and teach salvation should precede membership in the local church, Acts 2:37; 2:47. We believe in Water Baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

History of the New Testament Church

The concept of a church totally committed to God was conceived in the minds of six families in the summer of 1980. These people were burdened with the need for a church that would allow Jesus Christ the preeminence in their worship. God led these people to Pastor Julius Malone who, at the time, was s social worker and an assistant pastor at a local church. After much prayer and planning, the local body began November 2, 1980 with 125 people at the first service. The Lord allowed them to meet at the North Suburban YMCA in Milwaukee Wisconsin where the worship for five years.

As the Lord added believers to the local body, a physical as well as spiritual need grew for additional space. Because the Lord is faithful to His people, Jehovah Jireh provided facilities at Vincent High School. They praised and worshiped Him there for six years.

During this time it became evident that God was leading His people to construct a building - a church. According to his will and timing, land was purchased at 10201 W. Bradley Road with ground breaking ceremony taking place on June 10, 1990. The first service was held in December 1991 with over three hundred in attendance at the morning and evening services. The New Testament Church of Milwaukee was dedicated to the Lord in April of 1992. God continued to bless the body of New Testament Church spiritually as well as financially.

On April 21, 1996 a "mortgage burning" ceremony was held to retire the debt owed on the church building. New Testament Church of Milwaukee is founded on the belief that God is sovereign in affairs of mankind and it therefore becomes the responsibility of the local body to be obedient to His revealed Word.
